The aim of the IEU is to promote and disseminate the educational, research and clinical activities of The Institute in order to improve the treatment, care and quality of life of people with cancer.

In support of this aim the IEU has five main objectives:

  • Develop materials to support and complement existing educational and research activities at The Institute
  • Explore potential new areas which lend themselves to an interactive approach
  • Raise the profile of teaching and learning both internally and externally
  • Promote links where appropriate between the activities of The Institute and the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust
  • Promote partnerships with other institutions and organisations

The IEU has three main markets for its work and these encompass a wide range of audiences, both internally and externally:
