Projects Perspectives in Oncology - the cancer science website (for new PhD students)

Latest developments

June 2006

The award-winning Perspectives in Oncology website (comprising five initial modules) was launched in July 2004. An additional module, Physics applied to cancer diagnosis and therapy, was added in July 2005. This module provides an overview of how techniques from medical physics can be used to diagnose and treat cancer. The site is aimed primarily at new PhD students but is available to any interested member of staff at The Institute and the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. Work on additional modules is well underway, with the Basics of tumour biology and Cell signalling modules nearing completion and due to be launched in summer 2006.

Perspectives in Oncology replaces an introductory lecture series for new students and is currently available to Institute and Royal Marsden staff only. We plan to make the site available to external audiences in the future.

If you are involved in learning and teaching activities about cancer and would like more information on the project, please .

As your viewing these websites, another factor to consider is how their website is set up for a link exchange program. These software programs automatically search and send email requests for a link Exchange with other websites. Some link farms can have thousands of websites who have agreed to do a link exchange.
