Pensions at The Institute
The Institute offers staff membership of the University Superannuation Scheme or The Institute of Cancer Research Pension Scheme depending on the type of post held. Both are defined benefit, final salary pension schemes and are an excellent staff benefit. Staff pay approximately 6% of their salary into the scheme and The Institute contributes between 14% and 18%. If staff are transferring from the NHS, they can also opt to remain members of the NHS Pension Scheme.Family Friendly
The Institute provides a Carer Coordinator Service, which provides advice to staff on local childcare provision, tax credits and how you can claim them, holiday play schemes, general childcare information and caring for the elderly or infirm.
The Institute also has a pilot salary sacrifice childcare voucher scheme (this entails exchanging part of your salary for childcare vouchers enabling you to gain on tax and National Insurance). Access to summer and Easter holiday play schemes are also available and at Sutton there is an on site crèche, subject to availability.
