Welcome to the Paediatric Oncology
webpages
The Children's
Unit at The Royal Marsden Hospital is one of the largest paediatric
oncology centres in the UK and provides a regional service to
children with malignant disease and their families in the South

The integration
of the clinical unit with the Cancer Research UK Academic Unit
of Paediatric Oncology and Section of Paediatrics within The Institute
provides the opportunity for a close interaction between clinical
researchers and those involved in fundamental cancer research
rarely available in paediatric departments.
The overall
research objectives of the Section are pursued within both laboratory
based and clinical research projects.
Background to the biology
of the various childhood cancers that we work on is given, as
well as links to external sites for further
information.
Our work forms part of
extensive collaborations, both in the UK and worldwide, and we
host a regular series of seminars designed
to facilitate the exchange of ideas between paediatric oncology
research groups.
We hope
you find these web pages useful, and would welcome hearing from
you if you have any .
