The Gift Aid scheme allows charities to reclaim the basic rate of tax on gifts from taxpayers. By confirming your taxpayer status you can increase the value of your gift by almost a third. For example, a gift of £10 under the scheme is worth £12.82 to the charity. The scheme applies to both one-off and regular gifts.
