The Toughest Footrace on Earth

November 2006

The Tenere Desert

The Tenere Desert

In November 2006 supporter Matt Fisher, from Photographic Synergy, will be running The TRANS 333 - the toughest footrace on Earth.

Matt will run the 333km / 208 mile non stop foot race across the Tenere Desert, Niger, Africa. He is hoping to complete the race in around 100 hours and will have no more than 9hrs sleep! Matt will have to navigate over sand dunes and endure intense sandstorms.  Temperatures are likely to reach up to 50C in the day and be near to freezing at night. He is likely to experience considerable pain, exhaustion and sleep deprivation.

Matt hopes that by taking on this enormous challenge he will raise £10,000 for Everyman and NOMA Facing Africa. To support Matt please visit : http://www.justgiving.com/balls-trans333
