ASDA aims high for male cancer research
Hot on the success of ASDA’s partnership with Everyman in 2006, from which they raised an incredible £200,000 for the campaign, ASDA is continuing it’s support for our research into male cancers in 2007 and this year are aiming to raise a record £500,000!
ASDA colleagues and customers at stores and depots across the country spent a busy May and June getting involved with a number of fundraising activities including leg-waxing, cycling and team adventure days. ASDA stores also got behind the campaign by selling a range of Everyman Father’s Day products, including a handy coin-holder key ring and three different George t-shirts, designed by students at De Montfort University in Leicester, which give out important awareness messages about testicular cancer.
Comedian Frank Skinner, who
supported the
campaign again this year said “I’m delighted to be supporting Everyman this June
and its partnership
with ASDA to raise money for male cancer research. You can help support us as well by checking out selected ‘Everyman’ products at ASDA this
summer - and boys,
make sure you check
your tackle too.”
